About the project
Ma Chérie is a singer-songwriter piece exploring intimacy, affection, and the quiet emotions of falling in love. The song combines my own vocals with a restrained production style to create a personal and intimate atmosphere.
I approached the production with a focus on space and emotional clarity, allowing the vocal to remain at the centre of the arrangement. The instrumentation and production gradually build around the vocal rather than overwhelming it, using subtle layers and textural changes to support the emotional development of the song.
